“Spacious rooms and great location, with just a couple of minor downsides We had a great 6 nights stay here. The room was spacious with plenty of luggage space, immaculately clean, and featured a very comfortable bed. The highlight was definitely the nice balcony with a lovely port view. The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk to the old town and a few minutes from the beach. The staff was friendly and provided great service. While the gym is sufficient, the swimming pool, though a decent size, was packed with kids all day. This is clearly a popular spot for family vacations! The only real downside was the Wi-Fi, which was incredibly slow. Overall, a lovely stay if you don't mind a lively, family-friendly atmosphere!”

“My stay at Meliá Alicante was unfortunately very disappointing, despite the hotel’s excellent location. The setting is truly beautiful, right by the sea, and that is probably the only highlight of my experience. From the moment I arrived, the customer service fell far below expectations. I reached the hotel around 12:00 PM and was told I would be given a room with a living room and lounge area, but strangely, I was informed that I would not have the right to use that space. As a frequent traveler, I found this very unusual and confusing.I was then told that check-in would be at 4:00 PM and that I would receive a call once my room was ready. However, no one contacted me. Around 4:00 PM, I went to the reception myself and was given a different room instead. The situation became even more concerning when I reached the room and found the door already open. This was shocking and immediately made me feel unsafe. To make matters worse, the bathrobe provided was dirty. When I reported the issue to reception, it seemed they were already aware that the door was faulty, which is completely unacceptable from a safety perspective.I would like to highlight that Trip.com handled the situation professionally when I contacted them, and they intervened promptly. Their support was far more reassuring than anything provided by the hotel staff. What disappointed me the most was the complete lack of apology or accountability from the hotel. Even during check-out, there was no acknowledgment of the issues I had faced.Overall, I deeply regret choosing this hotel. What should have been a relaxing stay turned into an uncomfortable and unsafe experience. I would not recommend this hotel based on the level of service and attention to guest safety.”

“We had a fantastic stay at Melia Alicante and would highly recommend it. The location is perfect - right by the beach and within easy walking distance of the city and old town. The Level is definitely worth it. The private lounge was a great, with happy hour drinks and a tapas-style bits included. Breakfast was also excellent, especially the freshly made eggs benedict. Our room was amazing, with incredible harbour views, cleaned daily with a lovely turndown service. We upgraded to a junior suite, which felt really luxurious - having two bathrooms was a real bonus!! Top tip: head to the pool early to enjoy the morning sun, and request a harbour view room for the afternoon sunshine. The TV connections for firestick etc were easy to access if you want to connect your own device - chromecast was temperamental. The staff were all friendly, but a special mention to Juan in The Level lounge - very attentive, professional, and friendly. He also made the best Gin Lemon we’ve had and was a brilliant photographer! Overall, a brilliant stay and we’d happily return.”

“Promises much, don't live up to it. Inside is much better than outside. Breakfast is quality, great views from restaurant. Rooms ok, although they did organise my kids room with a double and a single I atead of 3 singles. Were apparently unable to change it. Outside, the pool is much smaller than the impression given online. Every poolside sunbed is 'towelled up' by people going to breakfast by am (why the hotel allows it I don't know), not nearly enough room given the hotel size. The other outdoor spot is the Solarium in which you'll turn into a crisp as there is no shade or umbrellas. Not enough staff or speed in the pool bar. My kids room overlooked the Inside pool which was much quieter and looked great in comparison. Car parking under the hotel is €20 a day. Location is great though.”
